Valeria Zurla

I am an Assistant Professor at CSEF, the Department of Economics and Statistics at the University of Naples Federico II, and a research fellow at the Population Wellbeing Initiative at UT-Austin. 

I received my Ph.D. in Economics from Brown University in 2022.

My research interests are in the fields of public economics and labor economics, with a focus on social insurance programs and labor market inequalities. 

I was selected as the 2022 recipient of the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation in Government Finance and Taxation Award by the National Tax Association
